Description

Sleeps 8 persons on wooden sleeping platforms. Cabin includes wood stove and firewood (stacked in woodshed a short walk from the cabin); table; benches; bear proof food storage locker; and porch. A latrine is located a short distance from the cabin. Nearby water source is available (freshwater pond), but the water should be purified before drinking. You will need to split your own kindling to start a fire. We suggest bringing a small axe in the event the one provided is not there (unfortunately this happens at times). Please note that on extremely cold winter days, the cabin may take up to 4 hours to warm up. We suggest you start a fire and go for a walk while the cabin heats up.

The cabin is accessible by foot year round. No bicycles or motorized vehicles are allowed. Strollers and sleds are allowed.

The cabin is secured by a key in a lockbox to the left of the door and is accessible only by permit holders with a valid number. This number is the combination to the lock and your only access into the cabin. You MUST have your confirmation letter with this number(s) with you during your stay.  This number is regularly changed for security.
