Each summer, we work with scout troops seeking to fulfill their Eagle Scout requirements. Please contact our Director at info(at)ernc.org or 907-694-2108 at least 4-6 months prior to the projected deadline. Keep in mind that most projects are completed during the summer months, therefore scouts should inquire by late January. Please note that we are only able to take on a limited number of Eagle Scout Projects each year. We are accepting projects for Spring/Summer 2012. Some projects include: construction of a firewood shed at our new yurt location; construction of a latrine for our new yurt; construction of rustic benches and chairs for the new yurt. We will also gladly discuss projects you may have suggestions for. Thank you to the following scouts for completing their Eagle Scout projects at the Nature Center during the Summer 2011: Marcus Gamble: 2 benches along the trail and fence screening Simon Kiehl: firewood storage shed and monetary donation Andrew Skaggs: insulation of the educational yurt (floor and walls) Patrick Thornton: railing on boarwalk on upper section of Albert Loop Trail Jaylon Winborg: picnic tables for educational yurt
