Winter Nature Studies and Outdoor Recreation Grant
.

Many thanks to
REI and the Rasmuson Foundation for their generous support of our mission.

Thank you to all the summer groups that helped us maintain and improve our trails and grounds:  Eagle Scouts Projects were completed by Evan Call, Matt Johnson, Alex Miller and Eric Watson.  Outstanding work was accomplished by all.

Thank you to the many teams of US Air Force Women and Men (including the 90th Fighter Squadron) that provided dozens of hours of service and  the BP Projects Directorate employees.

This project will help protect the area from further erosion that has undermined the integrity of the structure.  Visitors can help in our effort to protect this area by walking only on designated trails and decking to avoid damaging the new vegetation planted on the banks of the stream.

We extend our thanks to the dozens of volunteers from the US Coast Guard, Air Force and Nature Center Trail Crew who put in over 1200 person hours to complete this project.  Special thanks to the volunteer planners:  Dean Davidson, Lieut.  Edward Wieland and Marge Brehm.  Many thanks to the BP Projects Directorate Team for funding the purchase of materials.
