An art poetry workshop with Mar Ka, author of Be-hooved (University of Alaska Press, 2019). In this third of a seasonal series of poetry workshops, participants
will learn about the origins, history, and recent ascendance of erasure poetry, and will be provided the opportunity to transform a small used book
(included, or bring your own) into an art book of original erasure poems, perhaps keeping a summer-in-Alaska theme in mind.
About this workshop:
Registration required. The $10 is non-refundable unless workshop is cancelled due to low enrollment.
All materials are provided. The instructor will provide books for erasure; participants may choose to bring their own books -- ideally a small hard-covered
book, and with completion in mind, should not be too dense with text.
Optionally, you may also want to bring a notebook or sketchbook and a favorite pen.
