Did you know that willows contain salicin, nature’s aspirin? Cottonwood buds have long been used to make a healing salve, and while Devil’s Club may not
be a hiker’s friend, it has long been valued as a medicine. In this “hybrid” workshop, naturalist Ute Olsson will go over medicinal
plants of South-central Alaska in a Zoom webinar on Sunday, 7/12 at 2pm. Part 2 is an individual “hands-on” session preparing herbal medicines, held
at ERNC on the weekend of July 17-19.
