Volunteer and birder, Andrew Fisher, put up 20 owl boxes for the 2019 nesting season, around the Nature Center's trails. He fixed a few of the old ones that a former Eagle Scout made and replaced others that were beyond repair. One of the old boxes is currently occupied by a flying squirrel, so it may not be available for owls this coming season. Many thanks to Andrew and his volunteer friends for completing this great project for the Nature Center. Volunteers like Andrew are what makes the ERNC so special. We can't thank you enough. Let's hope we spot some owls nesting in one or more of the boxes. What a hoot that would be!
