Naturalist-guided Visits:
ASD and Mat-Su School Districts Only
Bring your classroom on a truly unique field trip to the Eagle River Nature Center! Come out and enjoy a naturalist-led program and hike on our trails.
- Field Trips are available Wednesday-Friday.
- We are excited to offer a few different field trip topics: Life Around the Pond, All About Glaciers, Alaskan Tales or a custom program.
- *Coming soon* Field trip outlines will be posted and aligned to state curriculum standards.
- The standard field trip is 2 hours in length and includes a brief introduction in the main building or outside deck followed by instructional time along the 3/4 mile loop Rodak Nature Trail.

Cost for Naturalist Guided Visits
- Basic 2-hour instructional field trips start at $12/student, with $120 minimum.
- Prices may vary depending on group size, instruction time, etc. Our naturalist will discuss final cost with you upon confirmation of your program reservation.
- Scholarships are available on case by case basis. Please contact us for more information.
Self-Guided Visits

Lunch Options
Please let the naturalist know if your group is planning to eat lunch at the Nature Center. Naturalist-guided groups may eat at the picnic tables outside immediately before or after the scheduled program, or they may eat indoors October-April (only if arrangements have been made ahead of time)
