Guided Group Visits

Eagle River Nature Center naturalist-guided visits are organized groups that are not part of the Anchorage School District or Mat-Su School district (including other school districts, homeschool groups, private schools and educational groups, universities, camps, scouts, and others) who hire our staff to provide them a program. 

Naturalist-guided Visits: 

(children and/or adults)

  • Field Trips are available Wednesday-Friday.
  • *Coming soon* Field trip outlines will be posted and aligned to state curriculum standards!
  • Adult groups and groups visiting during the summer months may opt for either a 2 hour general Alaska nature themed hike around the Rodak Trail or 3.5 hour hike around the Albert Loop (as available).
  • The standard field trip is 2 hours in length and includes a brief introduction in the main building or outside deck followed by instructional time along the 3/4 mile Rodak Nature Trail.

Cost of Instruction

  •  2-hour instructional field trips start at $12/student, with a $120 minimum.
  • Prices may vary depending on group size, instruction time, etc. Our naturalist will discuss final cost with you upon confirmation of your program reservation.
