Whether you want a back-country camping experience by staying at one of our cabins or yurts or outdoor wedding on our viewing decks,

 we have rental options available!

Cabin and Yurt Rentals

Staying at one of our 3 yurts or cabin is a rustic, back country experience within 2 miles hiking distance from the Nature Center's main trailhead!

They can be rented 1 year in advance of the current date.


  • NEW Korohusk Cabin (available for rentals starting on 9/5/24): sleeps a maximum of 6 people and is ~3 miles from the Nature Center trail head (TH).
  • Paradise Haven Cabin: sleeps a maximum of 8 people and is 1.5 miles from the Nature Center TH.
  • River Trail Yurt: sleeps a maximum of 4* and is 1.5 m from TH
  • Rapids Camp Yurt: sleeps a maximum of 6* and is 1.75 m from TH
  • Yukla Yurt: sleeps a maximum of 6* and is 2 m from TH


*For adults, an ideal comfort level of occupancy is less 2 people than above maximums. Maximum assumes 2 people may not fit on bunks and may need to sleep on platform floor.

  • $100/night for non-members (Korohusk is $115 for non-members)
  • $85/night for current dues paying members (Korohusk is $100 for members)
  • Rental price includes parking passes for up to 4 vehicles.
  • You will receive an email with detailed information and parking passes once your reservation is completed. Please print this out and have with you at your rental facility. 
  • Please place parking passes on your vehicle windshields. Facilities may be rented up to 1 year in advance. 

*Please note: Once made, your reservation is not refundable and date changes are not allowed. 
If you can't make it, we suggest that you pass the reservation to a friend or think of it as a worthy donation.

All YURTS AND CABINS HAVE

  • Check-in is at 2pm. Check-out is at 12pm (noon).
  • No keyed lock; you can lock the door from the inside only. Exception is KOROHUSK CABIN (it does have a lock and requires a code for entry. Code supplied upon rental confirmation).
  • Wood stove (not to be used for cooking).  KOROHUSK CABIN has an oil stove. We supply the oil. You do not need to bring oil.  Oil stove lighting instructions. A copy of instructions is at the yurt. 
  • Firewood for indoor stoves is located in firewood shed (Note: to be used for indoor fires only; please use dead, downed wood for outdoor fires or bring your own). Volunteers and staff stock firewood year round.
  • Firewood in June, July, and August: ONLY during these months is firewood limited to 1 bundle per day. Renters will need  to bring their own firewood if you plan to use more.
  • Splitting maul, hatchet, ash bucket, broom, dustpan, snow shovel.
  • Plywood bunk beds (no cushions).
  • Table and chairs or bench seating.
  • Bear-resistant food locker storage.
  • Nearby outhouse.
  • Nearby water source (requires purification).
  • Flip sign for renter to choose "Occupied" or "Unoccupied".
  • 3-ring binder with information and a log book.
  • Pets are allowed, but follow regulations for leashing them on certain trails.

YURTS AND CABINS DO NOT HAVE

  • Electricity.
  • Cell phone or wireless access.
  • Running tap water or plumbing, you must filter or boil all natural water sources!
  • Stove for cooking or boiling water (DO NOT cook on wood stove).
  • Fire starter or kindling to start fires.
  • Foam cushions or mattresses.
  • Limited insulation (you'll need to keep the stove going throughout the night during the winter).

NOT PERMITTED

  • No bicycles, ATV's or snow machines on the trails
  • No tent camping is allowed in the area of the cabin or yurts unless prior arrangement is made with administration for special reasons
  • No discharge of firearms

We have 1 group tent site camping area available for rent. All groups and individuals must obtain a permit to camp or use the group tent site at the Rapids area. You must bring your own tents!

Rental Details

  • Campsite area includes: bear-proof food storage locker, picnic table, latrine and metal fire ring.
  • Permit fee: $5 per adult, $3 per child, with a maximum of 24 persons and (6) 4-person tents at this site. 
  • Please attach your printed permit to the designated sign post and make sure the date and # of persons is clearly visible. 
  • The latrine is located about 50 feet beyond the picnic area. Please bring your own toilet paper. 
  •  Check-in time: Noon | Check-out time: Noon


IMPORTANT: You will need to select a date PLUS the total number of adults and children. If you don't do this on the first page, the fee will not be calculated correctly.

Viewing Decks

Our world-famous viewing decks are available to rent for a small wedding or ceremony. You can choose from either the Beaver Viewing Deck (small, 10-12 people) or Salmon Viewing Deck (large, 75 people max.). Each is a short walk on the Rodak Trail from the Nature Center parking lots.

Classroom Yurt

Our Classroom Yurt (40 people max) is a unique space to hold your small reception, meeting, or birthday party! It's 30-feet in diameter, has a gas stove for heat, gas lights, and an the option to rent a generator for electricity.
